Better late than never, right? Easter weekend was amazing. On Saturday, we went to my parents to celebrate Easter and Sam and Uncle Vito’s birthday. For a little app. I brought some guac.
Add to the pic: garlic, sea salt, black pepper, and corn.
Mom, Auntie Kathy, Dad, Anthony, Uncle Vito
Me and Kiks. Sam and Joe
My cousins: Ashlyn and Julianna. My brother-in-law, Sam’s brother: Bryan, Laura, Max
Grandma, some of Shannon (sorry!), Claire, Baby Ella, Momma G (Sandy). Ok, so besides my Grandma, that would be my sister-in-law, Sara’s family. 🙂 Wow, it’s just insane how blessed I am with amazing families all around!
Isn’t she just adorable?! Ella is my brother’s niece. Such a sweet, easy-going baby! Apparently there was something much more interesting for her to look at in the 2nd photo.
Easter egg hunt in my parents’ backyard
LOTS OF FOOD!
Look who wanted to celebrate with us! Jasper! For those who don’t know, this cat has been coming around my parents’ house for YEARS and I named her Jasper, probably about 7 years ago. She is the sweetest dang cat and acts like a dog: loves to play, will turn over so you can rub her belly and for example, I opened the door and called “Jasper!” and she came running to me. So happy she’s still kickin it. She even made an appearance on my wedding day. Love that Jaspies.
S’mores brownies, Blueberry Lemon Cake, Key Lime Pie, Coconut Cupcakes, and a lamb cake.
We sang to the birthday boys…
Then the brothers cuddled…
Mind you, the chair that Sam and Bryan are sitting is made for one.
Then there was present opening and more family love…
Steve, thanks for taking the above set of pics. They’re great, but how did I not get any of you?! Well, at least there is a lot of Dad, and Steve and Dad look exactly alike minus 25 years.
hahaha Anthony and U. Vito went blind trying on my Dad’s old glasses.
Whew! So so fun! The next day (actually Easter) Joe and I had a DELICIOUS lunch with Joe’s family after an awesome service at church. Mmm so good. Sadly, I have no pictures of the food, or even a lot of people :(. I totally regret not taking pics, but I never regret taking them. Duh, right? Just some cutie pie girls outside…
Momma Lora and Madelyn
Auntie Anna with the babe. How cute are those girls?! It was so windy!
That weekend was a gift.
“Follow God’s example in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love for others, following the example of Christ, who loved you and gave himself as a sacrifice to take away your sins. And God was pleased, because that sacrifice was like sweet perfume to him.” Ephesians 5:1-2
